It features a Modern Black style. Nonetheless, this unit was the magnum opus of the creatively gifted Singaporean design team company, Ascend Design. Ever since they first made their foray in the local ID market here, they have managed to successfully put on their ID renovation Midas touch on houses of all statures and sizes across the interior of Singaporean homes. The unit has a Modern Black interior design style that takes inspiration from black interior design but years for something lighter and more refreshingly modern to help brighten up a dreary and moody pitch-black room. This design features the color black of course, but with a hint of color seen on its natural organic materials such as wood and marble. For starters, this unit utilizes a lot of concrete and natural elements. Even though traces of Modern black design is visible across every living area, but the most noticeable would be the dining room area. Over here, the dining table has a gorgeous and smooth black marble surface that starkly contrasts with the Nippon pristine white walls. Nevertheless, the intermingling of modernity and black is clear-cut since both different elements collide with each other akin to the clash of the titans in interior design style.
We are lucky homeowners of a beautiful 5-room HDB apartment and we thank our lucky stars to have come across Ascend Design. Nonetheless, if you go to the company's social media page on the internet there are not many specific amounts of reviews to justify its credibility. However, we can give you our reassurance that this company is the bee's knees of interior design across Singapore. First of all, the entire renovation journey from the start to the end was smooth and well-planned. The team of designers is super efficient and skillful with their design abilities that it would be easy to mistake them for some world-renowned celebrity designer from overseas. They have successfully managed to play with the most basic shapes and yet come out with something so brilliant that even the fussiest of clients will be won over by their expertise. Even though they are not exactly the best bang for the buck, their quality speaks for it!
This bedroom has an Etsy queen-sized bed in oak wood with a unique design since its bedhead overlaps slightly out. Nevertheless, this bed also makes the perfect space filler for the bedroom due to its wide size and space capacity. At the same time, the BedandBasics bedlinen has a monochrome design and color since it contrast starkly like yin versus yang. Also, the white and dark blue color combo helps to give a relaxing and tranquil vibe for a restful sleep at night. On the other hand, the DirectCarpentry cabinet has well-designed compartments for helping to keep the room essentials organized.
The Nippon white plain walls in the dining area need to be mounted with a Comodecor art piece or two since it looks a little too dull. Nevertheless, an art piece or two will help to brighten up and add a dash of personality to the living spaces. Also, it helps to lift the somber and dark mood of the atmosphere. But the HipVan Persis marble dining table 1.5m in black and walnut has an edgy but classy look thanks largely to its smooth black marble surface. On the other hand, the HipVan Hannah dining chair has an understated elegance.

Plus, the cabinetry has several Frontiera fine-dining drinking glasses perfect for pouring the alcoholic drinker a glass of fine Merlot or Chardonnay wine liquor.
The bathroom looks dark and moody-looking. For example, it has a Ferrara stainless-steel rainfall shower head that looks stylish and practical enough for helping the user to wash away dirt and grime after a long day outside. Moreover, it can spray out a more refreshing burst of water nozzles than a regular showerhead. At the same time, the bathroom walls have a WhiteHorse Italy's white Statuario marble design that looks classy and uplifting due to its smooth marble touch. On the other hand, the ExpressWindows transom windows are perfect for helping to bring in natural sunlight and ventilation to the bathroom.
Overall, we can conclude and wrap it up by saying that the unit is designed for a quintessentially Modern Black style. For example, this unit is space-enhanced despite being initially a compact-sized unit. This factor can be seen clearly in its limited spaces that are heavily decluttered and maximized to full effect. But what makes this unit a cut above the rest? Naturally, it is the high-end decors and furnishings in the living spaces. A noted example would be the living room's sofa set seater. Likewise, this sofa set seater has a black cushioned fabric with well-built and solid wooden frames. After all, wood is a modern natural element that is relevant with urban living, while black adds a hint of sleekness.
