This unit at SUMANG LANE is a resale HDB apartment with an estimated floor area of 1001 sqft. It features a Japandi Wabi Sabi style. Nonetheless, this unit was the magnum opus of the creatively gifted Singaporean design team company, Juz Interior Pte Ltd. Ever since they first made their foray in the local ID market here, they have managed to successfully put on their ID renovation Midas touch on houses of all statures and sizes across the interior of Singaporean homes. The unit has a Japandi Wabi Sabi interior design style symbolized by using a mixture of Japanese imperfection aesthetics as part of its sensibility and cleverly fusing it with Japanese and Scandinavian design elements that are currently the rage on the world wide web. In this design style, everything is connected to earthy and organic materials, but with a touch of originality. For starters, the designer has positioned a set of Japandi Wabi Sabi style dining cutleries on the dining table. Nonetheless, this set of cutleries is a product of organic and natural earth-derive materials. Likewise, even the chopsticks look pleasing to the eye but have an earthy look since it is 100% wood. As a young modern family make use of the cutleries, they can picture themselves stuck right in the middle of Kyoto, Japan where the Japandi Wabi Sabi style originated.
Our designer from Juz Interior is efficient, very responsible, and gives relevant advice on our design layout and tile selection so that we can achieve our dream unit. He is very flexible with our changes and was responsive to our differing schedules. Since we are fussy about quality, we asked the designers to make several rectifications to our design which they have gone back and forth to do without complaining. Nevertheless, they did it with so much enthusiasm that we could have given them a perfect ten for the copious amount of effort put in. At the same time, the team was always punctual and finished the tasks well and properly before they head back home. They even worked on public holidays if needed to do so. Even after the completion of our unit, they continued being supportive by answering all our inquiries and doubts. Therefore, we highly recommend them!
The living room has a large LG Black Screen TV mounted on a Wallhub wood-grain tv feature wall with a matte laminate finish. Naturally, this tv feature wall is attention-grabbing in a minimal way but is sophisticated enough to help create a focal point in the user's home. At the same time, the outer layer of the tv feature wall has Yafen LED lights illuminating out alluringly from beneath the corners. The LED lights even extend their way to the Nippon white plastered ceiling. Adjacent to the TV is a Direct Carpentry built-in display cabinet for decors storage and space-saving.
This bedroom has a Direct Carpentry built-in study table in oak wood. Nevertheless, the study table is perfect for some intellectual-stimulating studying sessions or write down relaxing random thoughts. The study table is well-built and ergonomic since it can last for years. Aesthetically speaking, it is also dual-toned with a minimalist design. At the same time, the Etsy wood office-chair makes the perfect companion to the study table since the user can use it with style and comfort. On the other hand, the Etsy Japanese Nordic warm pendant light is brimming with aesthetic simplicity for a sparkly and alluring illuminating touch.
The dining area has a HowFurniture Japandi WabiSabi cutlery set. Nevertheless, the cutlery set is perfect for casual dining or dinner parties when the user has visitors who stop by. Aesthetically speaking, this cutlery set is also stylish enough to suit the aesthetic preference of everyone. At the same time, the wooden chopsticks are ergonomic since the user can easily pick up food from them. There is also a HipVan vase of blooms to help soften the rough edges of the wood furnishings and decor. On the other hand, the HipVan wall clock is perfect for the user to tell time.
The bathroom looks bright and cozy looking. There is a Direct Carpentry full-mirrored bathroom cabinet. Naturally, the mirrored cabinet has light-reflecting properties that help maximize and elongate spaces. The light-reflecting mirror is also perfect for daily personal grooming. For example, from teeth brushing to putting on make-up. At the same time, the bathroom has a Hoe Kee toilet bowl in white ceramic. It is also light-reflecting due to its bright white color and has unique auto-clean features for personal sanitary purposes. Coincidentally, the Hoe Kee washing sink in white ceramic also matches the color and texture of the toilet bowl.
Overall, we can conclude and wrap it up by saying that the unit is designed for a quintessentially Japandi Wabi Sabi style. For example, this unit is space-enhanced despite being initially a compact-sized unit. This factor can be seen clearly in its limited spaces that are heavily decluttered and maximized to full effect. But what makes this unit a cut above the rest? Naturally, it is the high-end decors and furnishings in the living spaces. A noted example would be the tv feature wall in the living room. The tv feature wall has a wood grain laminate design in matte finish that looks incredibly cozy and homely for a young modern family to sit on the adjacent sofa set to watch TV.
Finally, the theme across the house fits perfectly with everything surrounding it. For example, you find a lot of sleek and streamlined designs. In addition, the colors are minimalistic and natural.
