This unit at Bedok South Road is a resale HDB apartment with an estimated floor area of 1000 sqft. It features a Contemporary style. If the idea of a mainstream contemporary style seems relevant to your present lifestyle, then you must appreciate this contemporary design with a black-and-white monochromatic style that is reminiscent of a dated photograph from the yesteryears. This unit was the brainchild and love of labor of the highly innovative and creatively gifted Singaporean dream design team company Met Interior and has a mix of contemporary elements that will help you redefine the meaning of today's contemporary style. And it is brightly refreshing and innovative of them to add some occasional color to the living space. A good leading example would be the vivid green-colored customized wardrobe in the bedroom. The bold green color adds a striking contrast to the black-and-white living spaces. Another noteworthy example would be the rustic brown-colored leathered sofa in the living room. Nevertheless, these bright pops of colour helps to clear and stimulate the mind with a cheery vibe. Plus, this unit also possesses a lot of wood features. Over here, thick and durable solid wood is used in the furniture and carpentry. Due to the use of quality solid wood, the furniture and decor looks splendidly beautiful and they are worthy to last for generations to come.

We would like to recommend this designer and his team as they have more than a decade's worth of experience. After all, they are already well-established among Singaporeans since the year 2011. They provide a range of mainstream design services that cater to a crowd from all walks of life. As a leading interior design company in Singapore, they believe in conceptualizing and making the interior look visually pleasing. And this is all through listening and being open to their clients' suggestions and current lifestyles. Their goal is to accommodate their clients' needs by helping them to design spaces that matter the most to them. For example, their likes, preferences, and also dislikes. Based on a credible source on the internet, MET Interior has worked on a minimum of 41 projects over the last 3 years. At present, they have managed to complete a total of 22 projects to date.

1. Kitchen | Speedy Decor

The kitchen is in a monochromatic black-and-white color that looks like it came from a vintage 1960s-era picture. But the highlight in this corner is the delightfully charming galley kitchen which runs along two opposing walls and cabinetry. At first glance, the galley kitchen may be dark and shadowy since there is not much natural light, but it is long and has neverending spaces that give an optic illusion as it truly stretches for miles. Meanwhile, the multiple storage and compartments within the Speedy Decor customized cabinetry help with the storage of kitchen essentials and also keep clutter away.

2. Large Bedroom

The bedroom looks adequately roomy and inviting. It has a warm and minimalistic vibe due to the minimal furniture and decor. But the most striking feature in the room is the large-sized Speedy Decor customized wardrobe which is unique thanks to its vivid, bold green color. However, this bright splash of color naturally contrasts with the black-and-white monochromatic surroundings. Nevertheless, the wardrobe is also spacious and can store many clothing essentials. On the left side, a white baby cradle is visible. Inside, it has a whimsical and childlike-looking imprinted mattress to suit the infant's age and gender.

3. Living Room | IKEA

The living room has a sleek-looking Blafink customized sofa that is in a rich, vibrant hue of brown color. Nevertheless, it stands out due to its rustic leathery, and warm texture. At the same time, this two-seater sofa set is also invitingly comfortable and plushy and it is perfect for a relaxing lounge or short nap. There are also two IKEA matching throw pillows, one in white and the other in grey. Naturally, it gives a slight color contrast. On the other hand, the flooring is covered in luxurious white marble for a sleek look. Plus, it helps to maximize the space.

4. Living Room | Speedy Decor

The bedroom has a large Speedy Decor customized wooden wardrobe. From its outer appearance, it looks spaciously warm and welcoming. After all, it is made entirely from strong and durable oak wood, which makes it the perfect piece of furniture handed down from one generation to the next. On top of that, the wood design shows a certain extent of stability, a crucial feature in premium ergonomic designs. But most importantly, it can help store all your clothing essentials and fashion accessories to minimize clutter. Moreover, this wardrobe has a unique open shelf to display pots of plants and random decors.

5. Dining Area

The dining area is simple and minimalistic due to its surrounding furniture and decor. For example, there is a Speedy Decor customized dining table that has a splash of contrasting colors in light grey and white. The dual-toned dining table is aesthetically pleasing and is suitable for a young modern family to dine and wine in style. But despite its simple aesthetics, the dining table is sturdy, durable, and built for long-term daily use. Hanging above the middle of the dining table is a unique-looking pendant light. It is excellent as decor and lights up the space.

Final words

Overall, we can conclude and wrap it up by saying that the unit is designed for a quintessentially contemporary style. We like the black and white monochromatic tone that deeply resembles a vintage 1960s-era photograph from the yesteryears. From our viewpoint, we also feel that it is reminiscent of those black-and-white Charlie Chaplin movies but in static mode. The presence of the occasional pops of colors makes the entire living space more vibrant and lively. They also represent a deep contrast of yin and yang from the dominant monochromatic colors that make up a majority of the surroundings part. Nevertheless, we like the unique-looking pendant lights. They make a good statement piece due to their aesthetic beauty but are also functional enough that it helps to illuminate and brighten up the room from darkness when natural sunlight is not available the night. Plus, the colors are all neutral.
