It features a Monochrome style. Nonetheless, this unit was the magnum opus of the creatively gifted Singaporean design team company, Ascend Design Pte Ltd. Ever since they first made their foray in the local ID market here, they have managed to successfully put on their ID renovation Midas touch on houses of all statures and sizes across the interior of Singaporean homes. The unit has a Monochromatic colour palette in interior design that use a single base colour for the room, but uses a variety of shades, tints and tones of the primary hue within the room's palette. This creates a very daring, dramatic look whilst still being quite soft and classy to the eye. For starters, there is the ComoDecor art decor in the living spaces of the unit. They are the perfect space filler for the walls spaces since the art decor helps to fill up the drab and dull painted wall. Not only that, but the art decor also makes the perfect statement decor to help beautify the spaces in the area. Another hallmark of the Monochromatic look can be seen U-shaped sofa. Compared to other types of regular sofa seater, this sofa is more space-efficient in that the living spaces are maximized.
We would recommend the designer and his team because we felt that they are the bee's knees when it comes to ID designing firms across the Republic of Singapore. Our entire renovation and handover of our home were completed recently and we engaged Ascend Design Asia Pte Ltd for this job. For starters, we did a little background research about the company. Based on the company's google reviews on the social media, many people commented more positive comments about the company than the negative. For example, some of their past and current clients said that they are honest and reliable, while the others commented that they displayed the highest level of professionalism. Throughout the entire renovation process, the Chief Designer and his team did an exceptional job on our unit. From a drab unit, the transformation was beyond stunning. Overall, we would recommend this designer to all homeowners out there!
The dining area has IKEA black-colored track lights mounted on top of the white plastered ceiling above. The track lights help to illuminate the entire dining area brightly with their simple lights. Even though the track lights do not make much of a statement decor, they are functional. The UrbanMood dining table has a Hong Lee white Statuario marble countertop and a wooden material on its bottom legs. Therefore, this dining table is perfect for a young modern family to dine on in style and comfort. At the same time, there is a Comodecor mounted art decor that looks modern.
The living room has a huge HipVan U-shaped sofa-seater set that has a comfortable and cozy feel due to its unique ergonomic design. The U-shaped sofa-seater is suitable for many people to sit on it. Furthermore, the few BedandBasics throw pillows have a solid neutral color palette that is color-coordinated with the sofa seater. At the same time, the UrbanMood round-shaped wooden coffee table looks beautiful as an aesthetic display. Moreover, the CarpetWorkz carpet beneath the coffee table has an elaborate design that brings beauty and substance to the living spaces. The vase of blooms on the coffeetable is nature's finest.
The toilet has a Speedy Decor wooden bathroom cabinet that looks chic and minimalistic due to its natural wood design. What's more, the bathroom cabinet is a product of eco-friendly wood materials. In terms of functionality, the bathroom cabinet provides storage for all the bathroom essentials of the user such as shampoo and medicine. At the same time, the IKEA classic round shaped vanity mirror is perfect for the grooming essentials of the user before they head to work or school. On the other hand, the Express Windows transom windows bring in illumination and some ventilation to the living spaces.
The bedroom has a large BedandBasics queen-sized bed that is perfect for more than one person to sleep on it due to its wide and spacious-looking size. The bed has IKEA neutral-color bedsheets that looks simple and complement well with the room's natural surroundings. Mounted on the ceiling above is an IKEA black tracklights that provide a hint of illumination to the living spaces. At the same time, the LightsVault bedside pendant lamps are the perfect statement decor for the bedroom. But most importantly, it brings a dim romantic lights to the user when they are reading or unwinding on bed.
The toilet has a Ferrara rainfall shower head that helps to give the user a more pleasant spa-like shower compared to a regular shower head. This is because a regular shower head will just splash water straight to your face. In terms of other functionality, the rainfall shower head has a wider coverage spun since its design is wider than that of a cookie-cutter shower. Aesthetically speaking, the rainfall shower will give your bathroom an elegant style. On the other hand, the Hong Lee gray concrete walls has a rustic backsplash that gives the bathroom spaces more substance and character.
Overall, we can conclude and wrap it up by saying that the unit is designed for a quintessentially Monochrome style. For example, this unit is space-enhanced despite being initially a compact-sized unit. This factor can be seen clearly in its limited spaces that are heavily decluttered and maximized to full effect. But what makes this unit a cut above the rest? Without a doubt, it is the U-shaped sofa seater. Compared to other regular types of sofa-seater, the U-shaped sofa seater is space-maximizing and helps to give an illusion of spaces to the user. Other than being aesthetically attractive, it is also ergonomically comfortable as in it is suitable for those who suffer from backache to sit on the whole day.
Finally, the theme across the house fits perfectly with everything surrounding it. For example, you find a lot of sleek and streamlined designs. In addition, the colors are minimalistic and natural.
