This unit at 153C Bedok Horizon is a resale HDB apartment with an estimated floor area of 1000 sqft. It features a Modern style. Nonetheless, this unit was the magnum opus of the creatively gifted Singaporean design team company, Ascend Design Pte Ltd. Ever since they first made their foray in the local ID market here, they have managed to successfully put on their ID renovation Midas touch on houses of all statures and sizes across the interior of Singaporean homes. The unit has a Modern interior design style symbolized by a monochromatic color palette, clean lines, minimalism, natural materials, and natural light. For starters, there is a lot of environmentally-friendly materials being used in the living spaces of the unit. One of the most notable examples would be the stunningly breathtaking Speedy Decor built-in kitchen cabinet in the kitchen quarters. It is not only made from premium natural wood material, but it is also eco-friendly which means that the wood used is environmentally conscious to the environment. On top of being aesthetically attractive, this kitchen cabinet exhibits the highest functionality that is to help the user to store all their kitchen essentials in the multiple hidden storages and compartments. In terms of natural lighting, there are also plenty of lighting being utilized. For example, such as the unique but stylishly designed modern pendant lights.


We would recommend the designer and his team because we felt that they are the holy grail when it comes to ID designing firms across the Republic of Singapore. Our entire renovation and handover of our home were completed recently and we engaged Ascend Design Asia Pte Ltd for this job. For starters, we did a little background research about the company. As for us, we believe that they are a company that we can count our backs on. For example, when we say that we have a limited budget due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they agreed to lower down the renovation fee.

5. Bedroom

The bedroom has a large MegaFurniture queen-sized bed that is perfect for more than one person to sleep on it due to its wide and spacious-looking size. The bed has BedandBasics neutral-color bedsheets that are a striking balance with the room's neutral palette surroundings. Moreover, the pillows have a solid color. Behind the bedstand is a Speedy Decor wooden paneling that looks warm and welcoming due to its rustic wood texture. At the same time, the LightsVault bedside pendant lamps are the perfect statement decor for the bedroom. But most importantly, they bring a dim romantic light to the user at night.

3. Toilet

The toilet has a Speedy Decor wooden bathroom cabinet that looks stylish and minimalistic due to its natural wood design. What's more, the bathroom cabinet is a product of sustainable wood materials. In terms of functionality, the bathroom cabinet helps to eliminate clutter and keep the bathroom spaces neat and clean. At the same time, the MyLightHouse modern pendant lights are a suitable statement decor besides helping to illuminate the bathroom spaces brightly. On the other hand, the IKEA vanity mirror is a suitable grooming tool for the user to check on their reflection and decorate the aesthetics of the bathroom.

4. Dining Area

The dining area has an open-space layout concept since it is situated next to the kitchen. Whatsmore, there are blocked partitions or wall dividers to separate the access between these two living spaces. The UrbanMood wooden dining table is sturdy and durable since it is a product of eco-friendly oak wood. Therefore, this dining table is perfect for a young modern family to dine on in style and comfort. At the same time, there is a LightsAtelier modern pendant light to help illuminate the living spaces when darkness falls. Plus, the Speedy Decor wooden display cabinet helps to display the ornaments.

2. Kitchen | LG

The kitchen has a straight or linear kitchen layout. This straight kitchen layout is space-enhancing and has a homely wooden design that is warm and welcoming. Moreover, the straight kitchen has a Speedy Decor custom-made cabinet. It has multiple hidden storage compartments to help put away all the kitchen essentials in their proper places. On top of that, it helps to keep the place neat and clean. Furthermore, this kitchen cabinet is built-in with an LG oven and Hoe Kee kitchen washing sink. For example, the LG oven is from the latest kind and helps the user to bake like a pro.

1. Living Room | LG

The living room has a welcoming HipVan two-seater sofa set that has a comfortable and cozy feel due to its straightforward ergonomic design. The two-seater sofa-seater is suitable for the user and others in the house to lounge or have a short siesta. Furthermore, adjacent to the sofa-seater is an LG OLED TV mounted on the Nippon pristine white wall. The LG OLED TV is the latest and most groundbreaking kind in the market because it allows the user to watch all the latest streaming movies on it. Moreover, it also has a gaming feature for the user to play X-box.

Overall, we can conclude and wrap it up by saying that the unit is designed for a quintessentially Modern style. For example, this unit is space-enhanced despite being initially a compact-sized unit. This factor can be seen clearly in its limited spaces that are heavily decluttered and maximized to full effect. But what makes this unit a cut above the rest? Without a doubt, it is the wooden furnishings in the living area. Nonetheless, they come in the form of kitchen cabinet, dining table, wardrobe and much more. The wood used here is not only natural wood, but it is also sustainable as well. Other than being aesthetically attractive, they are functional and help the user to store things.

Finally, the theme across the house fits perfectly with everything surrounding it. For example, you find a lot of sleek and streamlined designs. In addition, the colors are minimalistic and natural.
