I collected my keys for my 2 room HDB BTO (45m2) on 19/7/2022 and my ID promptly started work on 22/7/2022. The work finished on 26/8/2022 which is amazingly fast. I had carpentry in my kitchen, living room and bedroom, sanitary fittings in the toilet, paint job as well as setting up of electrical points, lights, fans, air-conditioner and curtains and hob, hood and sink in the kitchen. I have waited to live in the house for about 2 months before writing this review (17/11/2022) as I felt I would be able to give a more balanced and realistic review since there are some problems that might only surface after living in the house for a while ( even though 2 months isn’t that long). Pros : 1) Very fast work. I did not have to chase for work to be done at all. Perfect for people who are in a hurry to move in. I do think I was one of the earliest people who moved in the level, block and estate. My next-door neighbours who started their renovations work roughly about the same time as me, have not yet moved in. ( I was initially worried about shoddy workmanship since it only took 1 month to complete but after 2 months living in there, it is still so far, so good.) 2) Updates via whatsapp. My ID would update me using videos and photos via whatsapp on the progress regularly. (however, pls see cons point 1 below). 3) The schedule in which the work was done was planned properly. There weren’t periods of long delays in which nothing was done because of manpower or resources issues. In fact, the work went on so fast that I had to keep popping over to check during that period. 4) The initial budget was mostly adhered to. There was some additional carpentry cost due to the slightly higher than expected ceiling due to being on the top floor as well as last minute changes. There were no horror stories of sudden jacking up of prices due to “I cannot find workers”, “the shipment is delayed” or “there is no stock of …..” etc. 5) The response to fix issues is reasonable. Example, even though I reminded Adam not to throw away the bathroom tap when we changed the bathroom sink, it was thrown away in the end by mistake. However, Adam did get me a replacement tap immediately free-of-charge. Adam also did rearrange their workers and contractor to fix minor issues e.g. minor paint jobs and spoilt lights even after the final payment was made. less
