  I have selected Ideasxchange amongst 5 quotes because Ava, the person-in-charge is professional, focused and confident. The ID firm is also under Case Trust, hence putting assurance to the project. The entire project is delivered on time and quality is good. While their rates may not be lowest, they are often reasonable and open for discussions. I have enjoyed working with Ava He, trusting the entire project to her to oversee. Thank you Ava for making my home truly Home Sweet Home.   My renovation experience with ideasxchange was unpleasant, and I had to bear through a period of 9 long months. I know there were others who may had good experiences with them (which is why I decided on ideasxchange), mine was unfortunate most likely due to an inexperienced ID who was tasked, but also lack close supervision from his supervisor. And if u r looking for a real ID to bounce off design ideas, the creative process did not happened for me. The ID assigned to me operated like a project coordinator. 1) ID was not meticulous, careless and did not make close supervision on site; my requests were not met, and there were wrong instructions given to workers. eg1) a curb was built at my washing machine area which should be a flat ground. eg2) made mistake with my toilets design and I had to demand to redo the toilets as it turned out to be unlivable with terrible worskmanship after ID tried to get workers to make correction. eg3) Place fixtures such as ceiling fan, TV points, socket point at wrong rooms, wrong and inappropriate areas. Had to ask to redo things a few times. It was a hassle, and painful for the workers and myself. 2) Did not give prompt updates work -in progress; If I don’t ask, no updates. 3) Poor planning: - My renovation happened during Malaysia lock down and I understood that carpentry work were delayed. However, would appreciate if ID made effort to communicate and make plans to work on other aspect of the house instead of leaving the renovation on halt for 4 months. My toilets were left with its pit holes exposed during this period, imagine the hygiene and flies infesting the house :( 4) Did not give advise on purchasing fixtures, toiletries. I had to find and do it all on my own. Post renovation after a year… - cracks are visible along the seams of the cupboards. - floor is unevenly laid. - vinyls floor has chipped off in areas due to it poor quality. - my washer has been rocking badly due to the curb. However, what was good.. - at least they made compensation by redoing the badly done toilets and redo wrong fixtures no additional costs. Services: Space planning , Interior architectural design less
